Understand long documents faster

MYNA summarises PDFs and answers questions about their content. Find notice periods in a contract, open issues in a project report or steps in a procedure.

Get an initial overview, then read the important passages in detail. Use the original document as the basis for decisions.

Section 4: The notice period is 30 days to the end of a month.

Your questionWhat is the notice period?

Draft answerThe extract states: 30 days to the end of a month, section 4. Please check the full contract.

Simplified example with fictional document text. Not a live answer or a client document.

Ask for specific information

A precise question produces a draft that is easier to check than “Summarise everything”. For example:

“What notice periods does this contract specify? Name the relevant sections. Flag anything unclear.”

Open the cited passages in the original. Check dates, amounts and exceptions; AI-generated references can also be wrong.

Confidential PDFs stay with you

MYNA handles the document, text recognition and answer locally on the MYNA Box. Analyse internal records without sending them to a cloud AI provider. Access permissions determine which employees may use the files.

Example — a fiduciary firm: A client contract contains names, fees and confidential terms. With local AI, you can ask about a clause without uploading the contract to an external AI service.

For a cloud service, check recipients, processing purposes and deletion. Your company remains responsible. FDPIC: Cloud processing (DE)

Removing a patient’s name is not enough. A diagnosis, place of residence or treatment date can still identify someone. Canton of Zurich: Limits of anonymisation (DE)

A paid cloud subscription does not automatically exclude training. See licences, storage and training.

Text PDFs, scans and tables

  • Text PDFs: Text can be extracted directly.
  • Scans and photos: Local optical character recognition (OCR) first turns the image into text.
  • Tables: Check numbers and their matching rows and columns carefully.
  • Protected files: You need authorised access to the content for processing.

Poor scans and complex layouts can cause errors. We therefore test processing with documents typical of your work.

A first test with your document

Choose an approved PDF you know well. Ask three specific questions and compare the answers and references with the original. This shows where MYNA makes searching and reading easier.

We set up local processing and the appropriate access permissions with you.
